This past week I had two shipping woes. Obviously, starting a small business has a learning curve so if this was just the beginning not the worst that could happen. Considering the outcome was positive!
Firstly, I prefer ordering my fabrics nationally to avoid high shipping costs and duties. So, when one of my packages went missing I was ready to take it as a loss. The packages was left at the door, however, not my door but a neighbours down the street.
Gladly, it was returned.
Secondly, I've been walking over to Canada Post almost daily dropping off packages. But the lady at the counter is so miserable. Never cracks a smile. Everytime I drop off a package the postage price is different, it's the same dimensions and weight. Which resulted in a package being returned. Argh!
Anyhow, etsy.com has a business shipping app which allows me to pay and print off shipping labels. Perfect! I just have to go into the postal office and drop-off.
All in the life of a small business owner.
